Google has teamed up with Sprint to bring mobile-users an even greater wireless experience. For Sprint customers, with a web-enabled phone, Google will become the default search provider. Sprint customers will also have access
to Google Maps on newer handsets.
Google Maps will allow users to view maps and satellite imagery, find local businesses, get driving directions and view real-time traffic information when they’re on the go.
Many of the newer Sprint handsets will also offer Youtube for mobile video viewing. Sprint will also allow users to take advantage of location data for Google search and Google Maps for mobile, making it even easier for users to discover what’s around them and then figure out how to get there.
Sprint and Google have been working together since 2006, when Sprint made Gmail available to customers.
